Where To Eat In Central London

London, England, June 23, 2008

If Central London is a food bonanza with a wide range of cuisines to choose from. The central London restaurant list is extensive so it is important to choose the restaurant that will make your dining experience pleasurable.

Before you go out for a dinner, think what kind of food you'd like to try and decide roughly how much you are ready to spend on it. Eating out is not cheap. However, once you know the places to go you might be surprised.

If you are looking for a quick meal in central location, try to look for the chain restaurants as they usually have a good selection of international foods for affordable prices. In London you can easily try Garfunkel's (international), Ask! Pizza (French), Pizza Express (French), Masala Zone (Indian), Wagamama (Japanese) restaurants. These are located in central Paddington and Kensington areas. London is also great for a variety of coffee shops - Starbuck's here competes with Costa, Nero, Pret a Manger. Those are all suitable for a quick snack and a coffee or a light lunch.

There are also great restaurants for dinner that offer exclusive food and service. St Alban restaurant is highly ranked and well evaluated by the restaurant critics. It is a very contemporary, celebrity-favoured restaurant with a lovely food. On weekends they have promotions and you can easily have lunch for £20 per person, which is not bad at all for the central London location. The restaurant is located in Regent Street, very close to the Paddington area. These kind of London restaurants will ask you to reserve your table in advance. You can also try Gordon Ramsey's at Claridge's Hotel in Brook Street that serves Modern European cuisine, the Bombay Palace - a good place to taste Indian food and Pasha Restaurant at Gloucester Road, minutes from central London hotels, which serves Moroccan cuisine.

For Chinese cuisine people usually choose Chinatown and it's probably the best place for both fancy dining as well as cheap take-aways. Bar Shu, Haozhan, Yauatcha are all highly-ranked among the best Chinese restaurants in London.

If you are staying at luxury London hotels, it will be easy for you not only to find good places to eat but also to make the most of London.
