St James's Park London
St James's Park covers 23 hectares and is situated in the heart of London, surrounded by three palaces. Westminster, the most ancient palace, today is known as the Houses of Parliament and shares the park with famous St James's Palace and Buckingham Palace in London.
St James's Park in London boasts beautiful greenery and a lake which is a habitat to a wide range of birdlife.
In the summertime the London St James's Park, like many other central London parks, becomes a busy place with people exercising, sunbathing, having picnics and attending open-air concerts. A café nearby provides refreshments and there is a children's playground at the Buckingham Palace in London end for the little ones. This favourable park also offers deck chairs (April-September) for those who want to enjoy the sun.
Even the London St James's Park is smaller than many other London parks; it attracts many visitors and residents. It has also been featured in quite a few movies - 101 Dalmatians (1996), Die another Day (2002) and Woody Allen's Match Point (UK release January 2006), his first movie filmed entirely in the UK. Ideally located and naturally preserved the St James's Park in London offers a real retreat in the heart of the city.
