Polpo and Polpetto Owners Launch Spuntino in London Soho

The popularity of small, individual, eclectic London restaurants has never been greater and on the back of the sensational success of Polpo in Soho and Polpetto in Dean Street, Soho, Russell Norman and Richard Beatty opened Spuntino in Rupert Street, Soho London.

As little sisters go, this one is growing up fast and with flavour and fun!

Inspired by the lazy lagoons or Venice, Harry's Bar and the Piazza di San Marco, the feeling of a Venetian bacaro is beautifully and resoundingly present. From light snacks, hence Spuntino, to mouth watering, tummy filling 'feasts'. As with her elder sisters, Polpo and Polpetto, Spuntino in London Soho promises much and faithfully delivers.

Among the many favourite dishes are macaroni and cheese, truffled egg toast, shoestring fries, soft-shell crab with Tabasco aioli and meatball sliders. Of course as an homage to slightly sepia days the drinks selection feature cocktails such as the Sazerac and the Bronx which seem to refer more closely to the Great Gatsby or even Once upon a time in America.

There are only 25 seats and it's not possible to book and with the designer atmosphere and clever use of uncovered Victorian glazed brick and mosaic walls, with large rusted tin tiles, salvaged from a New York warehouse, there are plenty of distractions at Spuntino in London Soho if there's a small wait for a table.

Russell Norman and Richard Beatty have been inspired by the opening of these 3 restaurants, Polpo, Polpetto and Spuntino in London Soho and have cleverly managed to maintain the originality and freshness in each, whilst also keeping faith with their closely connected theme and style.

This is a perfect way to enjoy good food, a relaxing atmosphere and an unusual venue and after a busy day sightseeing or shopping. There is also a great opportunity to enjoy an overnight stay in one of LTH Hotels. With the perfect choice from 4 superb 4 star hotels under the Hotel Indigo, Mercure Hotel and Quality Crown Hotel brands where comfort, luxury and a warm welcome await and with the very best online rates, London Town Hotels make choosing the perfect place to stay easy!
