Saatchi Gallery London

Saatchi Gallery London

The Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea London is a phenomenal contemporary art venue. Free admission to all shows, including temporary, curated exhibitions, allows anyone to view some exceptional work by many unknown artists. The London Saatchi gallery is a perfect place to discover something fresh and exciting for both experts and amateurs in contemporary art.

Open in the 70,000 sq ft building the Saatchi Gallery in London is arguably the world's biggest private gallery of modern art displayed in 15 large rooms spread over three floors. When the gallery opened over twenty years ago, contemporary art generated interest only in those who knew about it. Today contemporary art is extremely popular and the London Saatchi Gallery can boast a growing audience, including student visits.

The London Saatchi Gallery opened its door with an exceptional exhibition entitled The Revolution Continues: New Chinese Art, which brought to 24 of China's leading artist displays, from painting to installation. Much of the work refers to China's turbulent politics, with Mao both mocked and glorified in many of the pieces. Though Mao is internationally known as both a savior and destroyer of China's society, what better way to find out what his citizens really thought of him than through art produced by those who lived through his reign?

The Saatchi Gallery in London aims to bring modern art to the widest audience possible and does that well with its free admissions and extensive collection. The Saatchi Gallery also has a dedicated space for Saatchi Online artists to exhibit and sell their work commission free this way providing career opportunities to young artists.
