Limber up with London's Running Clubs
It's starting to warm up outside and it's time to start thinking about getting fit this spring. If you are looking to do some running but perhaps need a little encouragement, why not join one of London's great running clubs? You will receive plenty of free knowledge, motivation and training partners. Your running will improve and so too will your social life!
One of the most popular running clubs in London is the Serpentine Running Club with over 2300 members. You can choose from two runs every Wednesday and Saturday around
Hyde Park and
Kensington Gardens. One is 4.3 miles and the other is 7.2 miles which also incorporates
Green Park and
St James's Park. Meet at the Seymour Leisure Centre, near Marble Arch. For more info visit

The second largest running club in London is the Wimbledon Windmilers with over 700 members of all ages and abilities. The Sunday morning run is the best one to start with and you can graduate up to the speed work (Tuesdays), hill training (Thursdays) and track sessions (Saturdays) when you are ready. In between runs you will be sure to enjoy the social side -

The north London clubs, London Heathside (

For the more competitive runners, the Highgate Harriers (

Hampstead Heath maybe what you are looking for. The club was founded in 1879 and has an excellent reputation especially in cross country running.
Whatever your ability, you are sure to find a London running club that offers expertise, encouragement and potentially like-minded friends.
