London is a hotbed of culinary excellence so it comes as a little surprise that the restaurant trade in London continues to flourish and many eateries in London have recently opened, despite the recession with fresh restaurant offerings close to
central London Hotels. Also, thanks to the weakened Great British Pound, restaurant prices have become increasingly attractive to foreign visitors.
A trendy new neighbourhood restaurant has opened less 10 minute's walk from our hotel in Kensington,
Mercure London Kensington Hotel. Called Kitchen W8, the London restaurant is situated just off
High Street Kensington, so it is easy to find and you won't need to worry about driving afterwards because you can just stumble back to our Central London hotel. Serving a contemporary European menu, Kitchen W8 promises excellent dishes with energy. Whether you prefer pot-roasted belly pork or game consomme with cream, this is the ideal place for a classy evening out. This Kensington restaurant is a new venture by Philip Howard, Michelin-starred chef of The Square and Rebecca Mascarenhas.
Even closer to our Kensington hotel, Mercure London Kensington Hotel is the vibrant American-style diner called Miss Q's. You don't just have to eat and drink in this London restaurant; you can listen to live music and play pool as well. Similar to Doctor Who's TARDIS, Miss Q's has reserved exterior which conceals a spacious, exciting interior complete with dance floor. If you like burgers, fritters and steak; you will love Miss Q's.
Slightly further afield but still less than 10 minutes by car from our
luxury London hotels is Jom Makan. Located within the year-old Westfield London shopping centre, Jom Makan serves a variety of spicy Malaysian dishes, perfect for picking you up after a hard day's shopping.
