The Piccadilly Theatre in London's West End is currently showing the smash-hit musical Grease with television star Ray Quinn for a limited season. Situated behind the London Piccadilly Circus on Denman Street, the Piccadilly theatre is one of twenty-four venues owned and operated by the Ambassador Theatre Group. This West End theatre features over 1,000-seat auditorium and was first opened in 1928 with Jerome Kern's musical Blue Eyes. It then starred Evelyn Laye, one of the most acclaimed actresses of that period. The theatre has also operated as a cinema and the London Casino in the 1930s, but was later bombed during World War II. The Piccadilly has played host to stars like Henry Fonda, Judi Dench and many others.
