Palace Theatre in London
The Palace Theatre in London is currently showing Priscilla Queen of the Desert musical, the ultimate feel-good theatrical experience. The imposing London Palace Theatre building, which dominates the west side of Cambridge Circus, was designed by Thomas Collcutt.
The very last years of the twentieth century saw two exclusive theatre productions at The Palace: Jesus Christ Superstar and Les Misérables. In 2004, Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Woman in White received its world premiere on 15th September 2004 and successfully ran for 19 months to 25th February 2006. The show featured Michael Crawford and Maria Friedman initially with succeeding casts together with David Burt, Simon Callow, Michael Ball, Ruthie Henshall and Anthony Andrews.
Based on the successful movie, Priscilla is an escapade of three associates who hop aboard a tattered old bus looking for friendship and love and wind up having more than they could ever have dreamt of.
