The award-wining hit War Horse, based on the celebrated novel by Michael Morpurgo, is now playing at the New London Theatre. A thrilling production about devotion, courage and the astounding connection between a youthful employ and his stallion has already taken the audience by storm. The War Horse is also the Winner of Olivier, Evening Standard and Critics' Circle Awards.
The New London Theatre was planned by Paul Tvrtkovic and officially started in the year 1973 with a production of The Unknown Soldier and His Wife starring Peter Ustinov. Between 1981 and 2002 it was home to the musical Cats, during which time it became the longest running musical in West End history.
The New London Theatre also hosted Bill Kenwright's revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and the Blue Man Group.
