London is well-known for its vibrant Theatreland. There are three general terms describing theatres in London. They are 'West End Theatres', 'Off West End' and 'Fringe'. 'West End' refers to the larger theatres in London while 'Off West End' refers to smaller, lower budget venues in London. 'The Fringe' represents the rest of the theatres in London. Some of the musicals in the West End have been running for years and 'Off West End' productions produce some of the most original theatre.Ticket agents also sell tickets to excellent plays & shows held at various London theatres and they are sometimes able to obtain tickets which are unobtainable from the box office.
