London Transport
London transport system, one of the most extensive in the world, is made up of London underground (the tube) and buses. Together they provide access to just about anywhere in and around central London. As with most major cities, car parks are more of a challenge. There are plenty around but are often expensive especially during the weekdays and many now have the added expense of the London Congestion Charge.
The best way of avoiding traffic is to use the London Underground. It is the most used method of transport in London and is often the quickest way of getting around. It may take a little while to get used to finding your way around but once you do, you will find it extremely efficient and relatively easy to use.
With five airports into London, almost every major airline in the world flies into the capital. London Heathrow, home of British Airways, is London's busiest airport and now with the Heathrow Express traveling to and from it is even easier. On your return journey, you can check in your luggage at the Heathrow Express at Paddington Station and pick it up when you arrive at your next destination.
London has the unusual benefit of being serviced by five airports.
