Heathrow Express is the fastest and most convenient way to travel between Heathrow Airport and London Paddington. The service is non-stop with a timetabled journey time of only 15 minutes. Journey time to and from Terminal 4 is 23 minutes.

With trains departing every 15 minutes, to and from London Paddington, Heathrow Express beats any other form of transport for ease and efficiency.

Heathrow Express is the fastest way to get to key locations within London and beyond. With easy connections to London Underground and mainline train stations, reaching your final destination couldn't be easier.

Our service
Our prime objective is to get you to your Heathrow Express destination safely and according to our published timetable. Should alterations be necessary these will be announced via advertisements, posters and Express TV.

Our trains will carry information on fares and schedules. Additional information will be available in seat back leaflets and Express TV.

The interiors of our trains will be clean and tidy.

All delays will be announced as soon as they occur and periodically thereafter, both at stations and on board our trains.

Our Customer Services Team will do their utmost to provide you with information and advice to help you throughout your journey with us.

Our guarantee
If your journey is cancelled or is delayed by more than 15 minutes because of an event within our control, you may obtain a free ticket or a refund. Please write to us at the address below with your rail ticket within 28 days of the delay or cancellation.

Comfortable and relaxing, Heathrow Express trains have air-conditioning, ample luggage space, with dedicated areas for wheelchairs, and trains are level with station platforms for getting on and off easily with bags

On board TV keeps you in touch with current affairs and specially fitted electronics allows the use of mobile phones throughout the journey, even in the tunnels. However, if you just want to sit back and relax, make use of our designated quiet zones.

For those who prefer to spend 15 minutes onboard in quiet contemplation we also offer a 'Quiet Zone' carriage per train (in Express Class).

Here no onboard TV plays, and customers are asked to refrain from using mobile phones.

Paddington station

You will find Heathrow Express ticket offices located in front of platforms 6 & 7. Help is at hand with friendly and helpful staff, to answer any queries or in purchasing tickets.
Make use of our touch screen ticket machines at various points around the station or ask for advice at the ticket desks.

Taxis
Paddington station is served by a large taxi rank a few metres from our platforms. The taxi rank has recently been doubled in size to allow twice the number of taxis through at any one time and Heathrow Express taxi marshalls have been introduced to speed up loading.

Heathrow Express recently introduced a taxi sharing scheme at Paddington station. This is to reduce the queuing time for a taxi and operates between 0830 and 1030 Monday to Friday (peak hours). Fares are fixed in advance by zone and are usually cheaper than the equivalent fare if you were travelling alone - based on 4 people sharing (gratuities are included in the fare). Look out for Taxi Share signs, or ask the taxi marshalls.

Car parking
Paddington station offers two car parking facilities, with around 200 spaces, for passengers. Entrance to both car parks are on Bishop's Bridge Road or from the station concourse by foot. Disabled facilities are available in the car parks, should you require assistance from the car park onto the station concourse, please inform Railtrack 24 hours in advance on 020 7922 6793 or 020 7313 1041.

The car park is open and manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Car parking rates are as follows:

Trolleys
Trolleys are available from several points at Paddington, including Heathrow Express's platforms 6 & 7. A £1 coin deposit is required. Return the trolley to have the coin refunded.

If you need further assistance with bags, our customer service Representatives will also be on hand on the platform to help in any way they can.

Bar & Restaurant facilities
Refresh and relax before making your journey at Paddington. There are a number of bars, cafes and food outlets across the station. Other facilities include a bureau de change, cash dispensers, a pharmacy, newsstand, bookshop and florist.

London Underground

Paddington station is served by 4 London Underground lines (District, Circle, Hammersmith & City and Bakerloo).

Why not make use of our combined ticket with London Underground. You can now purchase a ticket for a trip on the Heathrow Express valid from Heathrow to almost anywhere you choose in central London.

You can also buy a combined ticket from almost all central London Underground stations to connect all the way through to Heathrow.

1.Onboard

All of our trains have dedicated areas for passengers using wheelchairs in both Express Class (two positions) and First Class (one position).

A call for help button (see above) is located alongside each wheelchair position.

Our genourously proportioned washroom facilities were designed with special needs customers in mind and are easily accessible from the dedicated wheelchair areas in Express Class.

Our onboard PA system is fitted with an induction loop.


2. Arriving at Paddington

If you are taking a taxi to Paddington you will be dropped off at the clock arch which is situated outside the station, alongside platform 1. (note that there are no lifts from London Underground platforms into Paddington mainline station)


3. At Heathrow

There is a free service provided by Skycaps to provide assistance to passengers with special needs. You can request wheelchair push/provision or help with baggage in order to reach check-in. To pre-book or organise assistance to and from our station at the airport, please call Skycaps on 020 8745 6011/5727


4. Heathrow Express platforms

There is induction loop coverage at the stations at Heathrow for any public address announcements in these areas. Moving on or off the platform you will need to pass through a trolley barrier. These are designed to keep trolleys off our platforms where they would prove dangerous, but once lifted, the barrier gives 1000mm clear access. Just contact on of our Customer Service Representatives who will lift the trolley barrier for you.

Access from terminals

5. Heathrow Terminal 1

From the terminal, look for the lifts and press the button for 'Trains'. Sit near the rear of the train and follow the signs turning right once off the platform. Either way, access is typically 3/4 minutes.


6. Heathrow Terminal 2/3

Follow the signs to our platforms - there are floor arrows and hanging signs along the route. Coming into Heathrow, sit near the front of the train and follow the signs turning left once off the platform. Lifts or escalators take you up to the terminal walkways. Allow 5 minutes for terminal 3, and 6 for terminal 2.

Trolleys and assistance are available from all our platforms


7. Heathrow Terminal 4

There is direct access between our platforms and Terminal 4 via either lifts or escalators, taking typically 3 minutes from platform to the flight check-in area by lift. Just follow
the signs.
