London Football
Football (or soccer) in London, UK is arguably the most popular sport. Britons are very passionate about their team and take any international win or defeat quite personally, as an indication of country's ranking worldwide rather than just a game.
Mid-Aug to early May is the football season with the FA Cup Final at London Wembley Arena being the grand finale. There are four league divisions one to three and at the top, the Premier League. Five or six London clubs are in the Premiership at any one time as well as there being London clubs in every division, so there is every opportunity to catch a game.

Tickets to most London Premier League games are quite easy to get if you book in advance, unless there are two London teams playing each other. Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspurs (phone +44 (0)20 8365 5000; www.spurs.co.uk) are North London rivals and their games are the biggest of the 'derby' fixtures. The cost for tickets to most Premiership matches are not cheap, usually a minimum of £15-£20.
