The Wine Show 2009 LondonTo many Wine Tasting may appear to be a fine way of talking about getting gently drunk with other people with similar interests. In fact, it is much more than that and London's largest annual Wine Tasting event attracts a number of top sommeliers and other experts to take visitors on a guided tour of wines from across the globe.

From the cheapest and most cheerful of New World wines to the greatest of French vintages, sommeliers Matt Skinner, Oz Clarke and Tim Atkin are happy to cover them all - along with a lot of sound advice on the best choices of accompanying food. There are also themed areas giving the visitors the chance to select the very best value wines for evenings out, dinner parties and family events, including the Christmas season.

Whether you consider yourself a connoisseur or freely admit you do not know Chablis from a Chardonnay, this event is a wonderfully enjoyable occasion to learn about the great art of wine making - and tasting.
