British Comic Art at the Tate Britain London art gallery is a special exhibition that analyses how artists have used humour in various mediums. Leading cartoonists and best comedy writers will give their analyses of the effects of visual humour at Rude Britannia: British Comic Art at Tate Britain London.
From paintings to drawings, films, photography and sculpture; Rude Britannia: British Comic Art in London Tate Britain will explore the use of humour in many different forms of art. See the funny side of art, from comic traditions of the 1600s right through to today. Rude Britannia: British Comic Art at Tate Britain in London will also open-up debate on the wider part of humour in British culture.
Rude Britannia: British Comic Art exhibition in Tate Britain London will have a special section devoted to rude humour such as saucy seaside postcards by Donald McGill and works by Sarah Lucas and Aubrey Beardsley. Also on show at Rude Britannia: British Comic Art at Tate Britain in London will be Edward Lear's eccentrically absurd pictures and Hogarth's satires of Georgian society. The ever-popular works by Gerald Scarfe, poking fun at the Government, will also be showcased.
