The new four day Real Food Festival is designed to make that all important process of walking around looking at food prices and sources a whole lot easier - competing with some of the country's best known food markets in this respect. Noticeably different is that each of the 500 producers displaying their wares here has been exhaustively assessed and chosen by a selection panel of experts including Blur bass player turned farmer, Alex James, international cheese expert and founder of Jeroboams, Juliet Harbutt and Chris Walton of Pelham Organic Farm. The Real Food Festival even includes a number of niche producers, who could not normally afford to display at such an event and they are subsidized by the organizers - making the event much more "real" than it otherwise would be. The Real Food Festival is a Trade Event (Thursday is a trade only day) and a Consumer event. Supported by a number of major eco leaders, such as the Whole Foods Market, eco chef Barny Haughton of the renowned Bordeaux Quay, Bristol and Ecologist Food editor Zac Goldsmith, it is a widely anticipated new event that is expected to repeat strongly in years to come. For those who care about where their food should come from, this is the event to answer most of your questions and the chance to build up a list of suppliers you may well come to share with many top London restaurants.Visiting The Real Food Festival in London:
