HRH The Prince of Wales: Sixtieth Birthday Exhibition
16th May 2008 until 22nd February 2009
Windsor Castle, Windsor, SL4 1NJ
Telephone: +44 (0)02 7766 7304
HRH Prince Charles has had to wait longer than most of his predecessors to ascend the throne and there is no sign of that happening in the near future. However, he has undoubtedly enjoyed and endured having more written about him and being more widely photographed than any Prince of Wales before him.
As this 60th birthday exhibition at Windsor Castle London, which has been home to Prince Charles for much of his life, it is sure to mainly reflect the positive news, comment and photography.
The Sixtieth Birthday Exhibition includes photographs from the Royal Collection showing Prince Charles growing up and includes many of the documents and personal items that he reassured during that time. These include christening presents, his school geometry set, a history notebook and his flying log book from the period he spent in service in the Royal Air Force. There are also many items displaying his interests in architecture, conservation and painting in watercolours.
