The Police Concert 2008, to be held on 29 June at Hyde Park, London, may be the last time you will ever catch them live. The Police are on their Reunion Tour and after the concert in London at Hard Rock Calling will move on to New York. Sting referred to the New York concert as their swansong thereby making this Hyde Park Concert a must-do for Police fans all over. This 15-month-tour will see one the most successful of live music concerts in London.The trio of Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland score high on the Rolling Stones Magazine, which has ranked them 70 in the list of 100 greatest artists of all time. The band shot to fame in the eighties with their album 'Synchronicity' reaching number one in the UK. Mid eighties saw them disband and Sting went on to make a successful solo career of his own.
The Police with their blend of Jazz, Punk and Reggae have always had fans and the band live, is usually one of the sold-out live music concerts of London. Not surprising then that they have sold fifty million albums up till now the world over. The Police Concert is all set to be a great night of music.
