An event not be missed by dance enthusiasts, the International Ballroom Dancing Champions is an annual event held at the Royal Albert Hall. Ballroom Dancing has now become very popular to the general public, as you can see from numerous dancing television programmes and contests in the UK and even abroad. This event is at its 55th year and the contestants, amateurs and professionals alike, from all over the world will gather again at the Royal Albert Hall to participate in the following categories:

If you have not by now heard of the types of dances involved in Ballroom Dancing, here are some tidbits which will surely put you into dancing mode. The classical dances are Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Quickstep and Viennese Waltz. As for Latin dances, Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba Paso Doble and Jive.

London Film Festival :

The Duke of York, Admiral of the Sea Cadet Corps, will be the Inspecting Officer and lead the laying of the wreaths at Nelson's Column.
