New Year's Eve Fireworks 2009 LondonLondon celebrates the arrival of the New Year in much the way as many major cities around the globe and the annual firework display is launched from barges moored in the middle of the River Thames close to the London Eye.

Some say that if you can see the London Eye you will see the fireworks but, of course, to see the best of it you need to be close by. You will be stunned that they managed to fit so many fireworks into the ten short minutes the display lasts.

Best views of New Year's Eve fireworks are definitely from Victoria Embankment as well as South Bank and the Embankment at Westminster. Waterloo Bridge is also a good spot but be warned there is no further access there from 8.00 p.m.
