Motor Show Music Festival 2008 The close relationship between the car stereo and Rock Music is celebrated by the London Motor Show in this series of dockside concerts at ExCeL in Docklands, which feature a number of famous bands - amongst others:

23rd July: UB40
24th July: Alice Cooper
25th July: Status Quo
26th July: Squeeze
30th July: Deep Purple
31st July: Chicago

..and last, but certainly not least:
2nd August: Meat Loaf

This is the perfect opportunity for middle-aged rock fans to impress or embarrass their children with their grasp of the music that may have been formative for them. Slogans such as "Rock On!" may spring to mind, along with singling along to "I'm Eighteen" and waving cigarette lighters in the air. You may be tempted to share this with your children or savour the occasion and the memories alone with your spouse or partner with a return to the 80's. There are some acts more suited for the ladies, as well, that include Here and Now 80's Tour (featuring Bananarama, Belinda Carlisle, Toyah and many others) as well as Jools Holland. Concert tickets also include access to the London Motor Show itself.
