London Olympics 2012 is undoubtedly the most significant event in London's near-future. Athletes and spectators will be drawn to London from all over the Earth; giving a healthy boost to the London economy and putting London firmly on the world map.
The East of London is currently undergoing huge redevelopment to prepare for the 2012 Olympics in London; creating thousands of jobs and enriching the area for decades to come. Many beautiful public areas are being created; including parks, recreational facilities and a network of footbridges and walkways allowing easy access.
London is constructing a breathtaking infrastructure to celebrate sporting excellence in preparation for the Olympics 2012. Not only will the development create the best Olympic and Paralympic Games of all time, it will also leave an excellent sporting legacy for years to come. Olympic Stadium - 80,000 seats
North Greenwich Arena (The O2) - 20,000
Velodrome, Fencing, Hockey, Handball (a flexible and vibrant riverside venue catering for a range of sports after the Olympics 2012), Basketball - 12,000 capacity
