From Hollywood to London's West End stage comes the sensational Legally Blonde The Musical, produced by Sonia Friedman Productions and Robert G Bartner of the Ambassador Theatre Group. In 2001 Amanda Brown's novel Legally Blonde was made into a Hollywood blockbuster taking millions of dollars at the box office with the Oscar award-winning actress Reese Witherspoon. Based on the Hollywood hit movie, Legally Blonde The Musical is a story about Elle Woods, a Home Coming Queen who's only concerns in life are her college sweetheart Warner, shopping, all things pink and her Chihuahua, Bruiser. Elle's life is turned upside down when Warner dumps her for law school and someone who takes life a little more seriously. To win Warner back Elle studies diligently and heads to Harvard where she embarks on a great legal adventure. Elle proves that she is not just a pretty face and just because she is fashion savvy doesn't mean she can't be a hotshot lawyer too.
Sheridan Smith who plays Elle Woods is best known for her television roles in Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps. In the production Elle sings 16 of the 18 show tunes as well as having a staggering 19 costume changes throughout the show. Duncan James who stars alongside Sheridan as Warner Huntingdon III is the love interest in the show. An original member of the successful boy band Blue, Duncan will also be the new upcoming host of Sky 1's Summer School Musical.
Legally Blonde The Musical also stars Peter Davison who became famous for his starring role as the Doctor in the hit television series Doctor Who from 1981-1984. Jill Halfpenny winner of Strictly Come Dancing in 2004 plays the comical dizzy blonde beautician Paulette.
