Gunpowder, treason and plot! - London Guy Fawkes or Bonfire Night marks the time in 1605 when terrorist team, led by a man named Guy Fawkes, tried to blow-up the Houses of Parliament while the King and MPs were all inside! The plot was foiled, the men were caught and executed, and to this day Londoners celebrate the fact that the Houses of Parliament still stand. well most of them anyway (!)
