London Palladium Theatre
The London Palladium, currently showing the Sister Act, is considered one of the most renowned of London's West End theatres. The London Palladium theatre was build by Frank Matcham, a popular theatrical builder. The London Palladium is as well one of the largest theatres in London, featuring 2,286 seating places.
In 2000 the theatre ownership was obtained by Andrew Lloyd Webber's Really Useful Group, which managed to introduce modern technology and revitalize the stage two years later. For three years the famous Chitty Chitty Bang Bang production starred personalities including Brian Blessed, Wayne Sleep, Lionel Blair, Michael Ball, Brian Conley and the ultimate cast on Jo Gibb, Jason Donovan and others. The production also played a flourishing run at Broadway's Hilton Theatre and is currently on a considerable UK nationwide tour to Manchester, Southampton, Bristol, Sunderland, Birmingham and Edinburgh.
Today the London Palladium Theatre is showing the Sister Act, based on a popular film, starring Sheila Hancock, Patina Miller and Ian Lavender. For those who have not seen the film, make sure you don't miss a chance to see this amazing theatre production!
