The Coliseum in London

The Coliseum in London

The London Coliseum is located in the West End on St Martin's Lane and is now home to the English National Opera Company.

Today the London Coliseum is one of London's largest and best equipped theatres which opened in 1904 thanks to the country's great movers of the theatre world - Oswald Stoll and the theatre architect Frank Matcham. The London Coliseum underwent renovations a couple of years ago and boasts the widest proscenium arch in London.

The Coliseum in London has 2,358 seats on 4 levels and creates a spectacular view and atmosphere for the English National Opera Company.

For those who want to learn more about the history of the London Coliseum, there are Guided Tours at a time suitable for you and around any rehearsals which might be taking place in the building. Each tour usually takes no more than one and a half hours and costs only £5 per person.
