London Heathrow: lies 14 miles (22km) to the west from our hotel in Kensington and there are several transport options to choose from. Taxi is the quickest and the most efficient way to reach the hotel, regular black cab will cost you around £50-£70. If you decide to travel by Heathrow Express which leaves every 15 minutes from the terminals at London Heathrow and takes just 15 minutes to get to Paddington station, you will need to take a direct Circle line to Gloucester Road tube station (5 minutes walk to the hotel). Alternatively you can take Piccadilly Line directly to Gloucester Road tube station. You can also book an airport shuttle Dot2Dot with National Express. It will take you around 40min to 1 hour to reach the hotel.
London Gatwick: lies almost 30 miles (46.7km) from our Kensington hotel, to south of London and is easily reached by different means of transport. You can take the Gatwick Express that goes to Victoria Station and from there take a Circle or District Line to Gloucester Road tube station. The Gatwick Express goes every 15 minutes, takes 30-35min to Victoria Station. National Express pre-booked shuttle Dot2Dot can provide a door-to-door service and the journey will take about an hour. The cheapest option is to pre-book an EasyBus shuttle, which will take 65-80 minutes to Victoria Station. Should you decide to take a cab, it will cost you around £70-£80 and will take a bit more than an hour.
London City Airport: lies 12.4 miles (20km) from our Mercure London Kensington Hotel, in London's Docklands. The easiest way to reach the hotel is to take the taxi which will cost you on average £40-£60 and will take around an hour and a half. Airport shuttle can also take you from the London city airport to Liverpool Street, from where you can take a Circle Line to Gloucester Road tube station. Should you decide to use DLR services and then the underground, take DLR from London City Airport station to Monument and change for the Circle Line to Gloucester Road tube station (not recommended if you are carrying heavy luggage).
London Stansted Airport: lies 44.9 miles (72.3km) from the Kensington hotel, well to the north east of London. Stansted Express is the fast and convenient way from London Stansted Airport to central London (London Liverpool Street), with trains departing every 15 minutes with an average journey time of 45 minutes. The Stansted Express now operates early morning and late at night. Shuttle can be pre-booked and will take you from the airport to the Victoria Station. It goes every 20 minutes, takes around 75 minutes. A Black cab will take about the same time, but will cost around £60-£80.
Luton Airport: lies 46 miles (74 km) from the Mercure London Kensington Hotel. Regular rail services to central London take as little as 25 minutes with First Capital Connect. When you land at London Luton Airport, catch the Luton Airport shuttle bus from outside the terminal at Bay 1. This will take you to Luton Airport Parkway station in around 10 minutes where you can catch a First Capital Connect train southbound into London St. Pancras (25 minutes) and from there a Circle line to Gloucester Road tube station.
Green Line 757 provides an express coach link between London Luton Airport and Central London from Bays 10 & 11 and the nearest stop to the hotel is Victoria Green Line. From there you need to walk to Victoria tube station and then take a Circle or District line to Gloucester Road tube station.
Pre-booked EasyBus shuttle is another option - it offers a high frequency, low cost express bus service between Central London and Luton Airport. EasyBus coaches run 24-hours a day between the airport and central London. The closest stop to the hotel is London Victoria. Online Fares start at £2 one-way and vary according to demand. EasyBus is located at Bays 10 & 11 outside the main terminal building. A black cab will cost you on average £70-£90.
By Road: All major roads and motorways towards London intersect with the M25 London orbital motorway. The easiest routes are to join the M25 east or westbound, as appropriate, to reach the M4 intersection. Come off the M25 onto the M4 and head towards London. Our 4 star Mercure London Kensington hotel in London is on Cromwell Road, which is the A4 and a continuation of the M4. Shortly after West Kensington underground station and the junction for Earls Court, you will see the Cromwell Hospital on your left. The hotel is the next building beyond the Cromwell Hospital and the entrance to the hotel is the first turning left after the Cromwell Hospital.
By Rail: Gloucester Road is the closest underground station to the hotel. It is on the Piccadilly, Circle and District Lines. At Gloucester Road Station exit into Gloucester Road, go left towards the visible major road junction. Turn left into Cromwell Road at the junction and cross the road. Walk down Cromwell Road, past the large Sainsbury's store on your right and you will see the hotel across the road from you. Alternatively, take a taxi from the rail station to luxury hotel in Kensington.
By Train: The terminus for Eurostar trains from continental Europe has been moved to St. Pancras International. From London St. Pancras walk through to St. Pancras mainline station and take the Underground (Circle line) from King's Cross to Gloucester Road tube station.
