Her Majesty's Theatre in London's West End has been home to The Phantom of the Opera since 1986. Extremely popular and ever lasting, The Phantom of the Opera features extraordinary sets, costumes and special on-stage effects. Andrew Lloyd Webber's masterpiece is based on Gaston Leroux's novel of life underneath the stage of the Paris Opera House where The Phantom controls. Audiences in over 60 cities worldwide have now seen this winning musical where it has woven its magical spell over audiences.
Her Majesty's Theatre is London's sought after St. James's district has been inviting audience since the early 18th century. Even it burned down in 1789, the new theatre reopened in 1791. When Queen Victoria ascended the throne in 1837 the name of the theatre was changed to Her Majesty's Theatre.
