A Style Icon for all Time - Grace Kelly in London
A fashion icon around the world, Grace Kelly captured the hearts and imaginations of her adoring public with her fairytale life. One of the well-liked actresses in the 1950's Grace Kelly wedded Prince Rainier in 1955 to turn into Princess Grace of Monaco.
As of 17 April, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London
will host an impressive Grace Kelly Exhibition displaying the glamorous wardrobe of Grace Kelly. On show at Grace Kelly: Style Icon will be dresses from her blockbuster films including High Society and Rear Window with the gown she wore in 1955 to receive her Oscar, along with movie clips, posters and photographs.
Visitors can also view the princess' haute couture gowns by her much-loved designers; Dior, Balenciaga, Yves St Laurent and Givenchy, as well as the legendary Kelly Bag by Hermes.
Through the display of over 50 Grace Kelly outfits in conjunction with hats and jewellery, the Grace Kelly Exhibition in London demonstrates the transformation of Grace Kelly from Hollywood actress to princess.
