The Fortune Theatre in London Covent Garden is currently showing the Woman In Black, Stephen Mallatratt's adaptation of Susan Hill's best selling novel. Acclaimed by the critics, this terrifying live theatre experience combines the intensity of theatre with a cinematic excellence and superiority enthused and stimulated by the whole world of film noir.
The Fortune Theatre in London was opened in 1920s and was the original London theatre to be constructed after the World War I. The London Fortune Theatre has seen various world-acclaimed actors perform on its stage, including Maureen Lipman, Judi Dench and Dirk Bogarde.
Today the Fortune is a part of the Ambassador Theatre Group and is mostly associated with the Woman In Black, its current production. Almost a West End fable, this gripping show initially took up house at The Fortune in the year 1989.
