The Comedy Theatre in London's West End is showing a dramatic new musical Too Close to the Sun from 16 Jul '09 to 5 Sep '09. Too Close to the Sun narrates a story of a Nobel Prize winner Ernest Hemingway and his complex relationships, fake friendships and secret aspirations of his manipulators.

The Royal Comedy Theatre opened in London in 1880s and was designed by Thomas Verity. In a few years it became known just as the Comedy Theatre. The range of work at the Comedy Theatre has been far reaching, from musical comedies to revival and experimental theatre to comedy plays.

More recently, Francesca Annis and Anthony Andrews have starred in Ibsen's Ghosts and 2004 saw the much lauded revival of RC Sherriff's Journey's End and a successful run of The Old Masters by Simon Gray, starring Edward Fox and Peter Bowles.
