Best London Attractions near Quality London Hotels
Sunny weather and a weakened pound are to thanks for London's recent boost in its leisure industry. As Europeans flock in, London attractions
and London hotels
have experienced a healthy increase in guest numbers, helping them to survive the recession. From April to June, year on year, visitor numbers in London hotels and London attractions
have increased by 12.8%. When you consider that about 27 million tourists stay in London each year, this amounts to nearly a million extra people in the quarter comparing to 2008!
The biggest boost was seen in paid London attractions where numbers went up an impressive 14%, whereas free London attractions went up 12%. This shows that people are still keen to spend money in London, although capacity at many free London museums and galleries
may have limited numbers rather than demand. London has such a diverse range of activities that it is no surprise it continues to draw the crowds.
London Mayor Boris Johnson has done his part to steer London away from economic doom by setting up an intricate Economic Recovery Action Plan. Boris's plan has supported various London organisations and campaigns: Visit London was awarded £2million to fund its 'Only in London' initiative which concentrates on all the unique experiences that London has to offer.
London was already the most visited city on the planet before the boost, highlighting exactly how much the UK economy depends on the London leisure trade. However, it's not all plain sailing from here. Although guest numbers have increased, London hotel rates are still yet to recover. This is great from the perspective of potential guests because they can easily find cheap hotel rates. But not for much longer! As the economy is already showing signs of improvement, the London hotel rates will soon start creeping up again.
Come and take advantage of quality London hotels
and attractions in a city that is made for tourists. London hotels and London attractions have never been such good value!
