Bayswater Guide

- Things to do and see in the area

Bayswater is a reasonably priced but vibrant part of inner London close to many prime tourist hotspots to explore and enjoy, and on the doorstep of Hyde Park. Within a couple of minutes walk find yourself in the midst of a unique open air exhibition lining the morth side of the park where artists display original artwork, often depicting breathtaking London scenes.

Nearby is Speakers Corner (near Marble Arch), the historical debating forum in which heated but entertaining banter attracts crowds. The park offers the space and opportunity for running, skating, picnicking, lazing, and boating, and offers a spectacular view of Kensington Palace, among other historic monuments and buildings in the area.

For a fun-filled day out for the family, the nearby leisure park Firstbowl Queensway, featuring an ice skating rink, ten pin bowling and a large video game arcade, is the perfect choice.

The main shopping area in Bayswater is the Whiteley's shopping centre, with its vast array of shops offering many international brands. The centre boasts a large selection of restaurants and cafes as well as a movie complex and is a good place to browse and relax.
